Celebrating Local Foods Sold Locally

We are an enthusiastic volunteer group working through the Municipality of Springfield Township which is dedicated to keeping our rural character alive through open space initiatives.

The purpose of the Springtown Farmers’ Market is to encourage sustainable agriculture, increase public access to fresh, local food and healthy farm products by expanding marketing opportunities for area farmers and producers to sell their products, and to support local economy and food security.

Our vision is to brand the Springtown Farmers' Market as a "Buy Fresh/Buy Local" destination event. By bringing together the local communities and its visitors with our local farmers, artists and artisans, the Market will serve to foster and advance relationships which will enhance, inspire and enrich the quality of life.

Mission

Our goal is to enhance, enrich, inspire and energize the greater Springfield Township Community by connecting it with the vast and growing network of local farmers, producers, artists and artisans.

To achieve this goal, we will:

• Support local farmers and producers
• Provide area residents with an opportunity to buy locally-grown seasonal foods and locally made products
• Promote a more sustainable food supply based on the concept "Buy Fresh/Buy Local"
• Educate the public to the merits and benefits of sustainable and eco-friendly resources
• Support and promote our local artists, artisans and performing artists
